Decanting this much loved release from Parfums De Marley. Has been compared to many other designers such as Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce, Mont Blanc Legend and Chanel Platinum Egoiste and it's undeniable there's the same idea underneath but there is more than meets the eye. The main players for me here are the amberwood, lavender and ambroxan giving this aromatic yet grounded ambery backbone that the others do not have. I would describe the other 3 to be so grating on the lavender that it's almost screechy and in your face. The lavender almost comes across as essential oil like in quality and stresses me more than it calms me. Percival however, has just got it right without tipping over the edge and is just something else. There are enough florals to tame the whole composition while the controlled used of synthetic molecules help elevate and bring this to the next level. Definitely an easy love and dumb reach for our weather and location and would make a great addition to your collection!
